Types of Animal & Husbandry Complaints in India

1. Cruelty & Neglect of Animals
  • Beating, overloading, abandonment of cattle, horses, donkeys, etc.
  • Lack of food, water, or shelter for farm animals.
  • Inhumane treatment during transport or slaughter.
  • Illegal killing of cattle or sale of animals in violation of law.

2. Veterinary & Healthcare Complaints
  • Non-availability of veterinary hospitals or doctors in villages.
  • Negligence or corruption in providing vaccines/medicines.
  • Spread of contagious diseases (Foot & Mouth Disease, Avian Flu, etc.) due to lack of preventive care.
  • Overcharging by private vets or sale of fake medicines/feed.

3. Dairy & Poultry Industry Complaints
  • Adulteration of milk or dairy products.
  • Exploitation of dairy animals (injecting oxytocin or steroids).
  • Poor hygiene in poultry farms leading to disease outbreaks.
  • Non-payment or exploitation of small dairy farmers by cooperatives.

  3. Any citizen witnessing cruelty, exploitation, or negligence.
  4. Helpful Foundation (via suo motu action).
