Refund and Returns Policy

Refund & Cancellation Policy – Helpful Foundation

At Helpful Foundation, our focus is on complete customer satisfaction. We strive to ensure transparency, accountability, and fairness in all our services. This Refund & Cancellation Policy sets out the conditions under which payments made to the Foundation may or may not be refunded.

1. Cancellation Policy

  • Once a service has been availed, cancellation is not permitted merely on account of a change of mind.
  • If a customer requests us to hold the processing of a service, the fees already paid shall be retained and remain valid for a period of 1 year from the date of payment.
  • Before processing any refund request, Helpful Foundation reserves the right to make every effort to complete the service.
  • In case of non-completion of services post a refund request, a cancellation fee of 20% + earned fee + government/third-party charges will be applicable.

2. Refund Policy

Refunds may only be considered in specific circumstances, as outlined below:

Refund Eligibility

  • If payment was made in error (duplicate transaction, wrong amount, etc.) and verified by our accounts team.
  • If the Foundation is unable to initiate or proceed with the service due to internal reasons and no administrative or legal work has started.

Refund Process

  • Refund requests must be submitted in writing to 📧 info@helpful.foundation within 7 working days of payment.
  • The request should include proof of payment (receipt/transaction ID) and a clear reason for refund.
  • Approved refunds will be processed within 15 working days via the same mode of payment used originally.

Non-Refundable Cases

  • Once work has commenced on a case/complaint (drafting, filing, legal consultation, communication, or follow-ups).
  • Once services have been successfully delivered by the Foundation.
  • If the case/complaint is rejected by authorities, courts, or government departments, as these outcomes are beyond the Foundation’s control.
  • All service fees, legal fees, complaint registration charges, administrative costs, and government filing fees are strictly non-refundable.
  • Payments once made towards stamp papers, affidavits, court filings, or government fees cannot be refunded.

3. Ungovernable Factors

The Foundation cannot guarantee the outcome of services, as many depend on external authorities.
Refunds will not be applicable in case of:

  • Rejections, approvals, or delays by government/court authorities.
  • Technical issues with government portals.
  • Delays due to government backlogs or procedural timelines.

These are outside the control of Helpful Foundation and therefore not eligible for refund.

4. Force Majeure

Helpful Foundation shall not be liable for failure, interruption, or delay in service delivery caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Natural disasters, epidemic/pandemic, war, terrorism, armed conflict, labour strikes, government action, or any other Force Majeure Event.

5. Special Provisions

  • Helpful Foundation Membership Holders and BPL Card Holders, who receive services free of cost, are not entitled to refunds.
  • Any disputes regarding refunds shall be resolved at the sole discretion of the Foundation’s Management Committee.
