Types of Chemicals & Fertilizers Complaints in India
1. Fertilizer-Related Complaints
  1. Sale of fake, substandard, or adulterated fertilizers.
  2. Shortage or black marketing of urea, DAP, or other fertilizers.
  3. Overpricing of fertilizers beyond government-subsidized rates.
  4. Diversion of fertilizers meant for farmers to industries.
  5. Delay or denial of fertilizer subsidy benefits to farmers.

2. Pesticides & Agro-Chemical Complaints
  1. Sale of banned or toxic pesticides causing harm to crops/health.
  2. Use of spurious pesticides leading to crop failure.
  3. Non-compliance with safety norms in storage/distribution.
  4. Lack of proper labeling or instructions in local languages.
  5. Health hazards to farmers due to lack of protective gear.

3. Industrial Chemicals Complaints
  1. Leakage or unsafe storage of hazardous chemicals.
  2. Environmental pollution by chemical industries (air, water, soil contamination).
  3. Accidents in chemical plants due to negligence (e.g., Bhopal Gas Tragedy type risks).
  4. Illegal handling/disposal of chemical waste.

  1. Department of Fertilizers (Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, GoI).
  2. Central Insecticides Board & Registration Committee (CIBRC) – for pesticide regulation.
  3. State Agriculture Departments / Fertilizer Inspectors.
  4. Pollution Control Boards (CPCB/SPCBs) – for chemical waste/pollution.
  5. Consumer Forums – for sale of spurious fertilizers/chemicals.
  6. Courts / PILs – for large-scale environmental or health disasters.
