In the case of the false declaration on the National Portal of the Government of India and the official websites of the Ministry of Home Affairs (M.H.A.) and Lok Sabha, it has been reported that an individual is involved in various criminal activities, including illegal arms dealing. This person is identified as an illegal immigrant and not an Indian citizen, posing a national security threat.
On December 2, 2021, Dr. Ishtdev Sharma wrote a letter to the Honourable President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, regarding this matter. The President’s Secretariat forwarded the letter to the Secretary of the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, North Block, New Delhi, for appropriate attention, under the forwarded letter No. P1/E/1712210103 dated December 17, 2021.
MP Nischit Pramanik’s educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Computer Applications (B.C.A.), a three-year undergraduate program that requires passing the Higher Secondary or 12th grade. However, MP Nischit Pramanik stated his highest educational qualification in the affidavits of his nomination papers as “Madhyamik Pariksha” – West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (Bhetaguri Lal Bahadur Shastri Vidyapith, Bhetaguri, Dinhata, Cooch Behar).
When we filed a Right to Information (R.T.I.) request, registration No. LOKSS/R/T/21/00138, seeking information from the Lok Sabha Secretariat, the Chief Public Information Officer (CPIO) of the M.H.A. responded, stating that the R.T.I. had been transferred to the Election Commission and disposed of under letter No. 1(779)/I.C./21 on July 30, 2021, as no information was available in Lok Sabha.
Subsequently, we received a response from the Election Commission of India, through letter No. 4/RTI/E.C.I./197/LET/FUNC/2021, dated August 10, 2021, which had been transferred via the Lok Sabha Secretariat. The reply stated that no educational qualifications of MP Shri Nischit Pramanik were available with the commission. However, it informed us that the returning officer/District Election Officer (D.E.O.) is the custodian of the affidavit submitted during the election.
According to the M.H.A. official website, MP Nischit Pramanik (Minister of State for M.H.A.) studied at Bhetaguri Lal Bahadur Shastri Vidyapith in Cooch Behar. Before entering politics, he worked as an assistant teacher in a primary school.

Therefore, the information regarding the CPIO may be treated as NIL. You are advised to seek information from the relevant authority of the Government of West Bengal.

However, according to our sources, the BSF Headquarters located in Kakribari, Cooch Behar, has registered cases against gold smuggling and cow smuggling involving MP Nischit Pramanik, as well as other serious offenses related to narcotics. Our sources indicate that MP Nischit Pramanik is an illegal immigrant from Bangladesh, with his birthplace being Gaibandha, a district in Northern Bangladesh.
