📌Types of Legislative Complaints in India

1. Misconduct by Legislators (MPs/MLAs)
  1. Use of hate speech, abusive language, or threats inside/outside the House.
  2. Disruption of Assembly/Parliament leading to stalled work.
  3. Violation of Code of Conduct for Legislators.
  4. Criminal activities or corruption cases involving legislators.

2. Legislative Negligence & Inaction
  1. Failure of elected representatives to raise constituency issues.
  2. Low or no attendance in Parliament/Assembly.
  3. Neglect of law-making duties.
  4. Delay in passing critical welfare legislation.

3. Corruption & Misuse of Position
  1. Misuse of MPLADS/MLALADS funds for personal or party benefit.
  2. Favouritism in contracts, schemes, or public works.
  3. Influence peddling or lobbying against public interest.
  4. Bribery for questions or votes in the House.

4. Law-Making Related Complaints
  1. Passage of laws violating fundamental rights or constitutional values.
  2. Lack of public consultation in major legislation.
  3. Rushed laws without adequate debate.
  4. Failure to frame necessary rules for implementing passed Acts.

5. Disqualification & Defection Issues
  1. Party-hopping in violation of the Anti-Defection Law.
  2. Suppression of criminal records in election affidavits.
  3. Holding offices of profit while being legislators.
