Economic Offences
Economic offences not only inflict pecuniary losses on individuals but also damage the national economy and have security implications as well. The offences of smuggling of narcotic substances, counterfeiting of currency and valuable securities, financial scams, frauds, money laundering and hawala transactions etc. evoke serious concern about their impact on the national security.
आर्थिक अपराध आपराधिक अपराधों के तहत अपराधों की एक अलग श्रेणी बनाते हैं।आर्थिक अपराधों से न केवल व्यक्तियों पर आर्थिक नुकसान होता है, बल्कि राष्ट्रीय अर्थव्यवस्था को भी नुकसान पहुंचता है और इसके सुरक्षा निहितार्थ भी होते हैं। मादक पदार्थों की तस्करी, मुद्रा और मूल्यवान प्रतिभूतियों के जालसाजी, वित्तीय घोटाले, धोखाधड़ी, मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग और हवाला लेनदेन आदि के अपराधों ने राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा पर उनके प्रभाव के बारे में गंभीर चिंता जताई।
